Contributions

I contributed to the title through the development and addressing of issues for their content delivery pipelines.  Specifically with the update and maintenance of key extensions to Autodesk Maya that allowed artists to more easily have changes made deployed and displayed in the game runtime without having to fully submit and retrieve the build that would include the built art assets.

Command & Conquer: Remastered Collection


Synopsis

Developed Alongside the C&C Community, the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection Delivers 4K Graphics, Rebuilt Multiplayer, Enhanced UI, the Completely Remastered Legendary Soundtrack by Frank Klepacki, and More.

Being one of the godfathers of the Real Time Strategy genre, Command and Conquer helped define the feature set that is base building, unit production and build orders as well as command and grouping of units for better micro-control of units in combat. The remastered collection added a plethora of new features and improvements, from including console-only missions to updating the sidebar UI, etc.

Contributions

I participated heavily in both the public and internal employee communities, eventually getting to help provide designers with input towards the outline of options for the control improvements and submission of some of my old mods for Red Alert and the code to assist in understanding and including some of the improved option set for the new features of the title. And later got to assist with the development of tooling for some of the analytics and reporting for various datasets for the title.

Synopsis

Madden 21 is the latest console title for the Madden Football Simulation Franchise of Games for Electronic Arts, with yearly releases, dating all the way back to John Madden Football in 1988.

The game revolves around managing and controlling players of many of the NFL teams to defeat others. Players are treated to a new backyard football mode named The Yard in addition to many of the now stock and standard game modes including Ultimate Team, where players collect currencies from participating in live events and use that currency to purchase packs of players to improve their team as the season progresses and defeat other players ultimate teams.

Contributions

I was tasked with helping to scope out and implement a few features for cross-promotion of content and events between the console title and the mobile title to let players that enjoy both titles be able to take their specific rewards from the console title to the mobile title. Addressed specific specilization bugs related to exploits and security vulnerabilities including anti-cheat feature developments.


Madden 16

Synopsis

Madden 16 is the 2015 console title for the Madden Football Simulation Franchise of Games for Electronic Arts, with often yearly releases, but dating all the way back to John Madden Football in 1988.

The game revolves around managing and controlling players of many of the NFL teams to defeat others. Players are treated to a new Draft Champions mode, where players draft players from a set of 15 randomly generated rounds where you are offered a choice between one of three players at different positions and go against AI or online for some head-to-head to see who can draft the best team and standard game modes including Ultimate Team, where players collect currencies from participating in live events and using that currency to purchase packs of players to improve their team as the season progresses and defeat other players ultimate teams.

Contributions

I was able to contribute bug fixes for several areas of the game and servers. Additionally, I was to implement tooling for reporting around statistical analysis of a lot of core analytic data points. Then taking the analytical data that was produced, parsed by the title, and generated Graphana dashboards, Splunk reports, and some custom web-based displays for monitoring and responding to changing metrics for the title, including crash rate, player mode completions, build-to-bug ratios, and build failure statistics over specified gates of development. Eventually, this led to training and implementing machine learning models to recommend content based on purchase patterns and player behaviors in-game. Addressed specific specilization bugs related to exploits and security vulnerabilities including anti-cheat feature developments.


NBA Live 16

Synopsis

NBA Live 16 is the 2015 console title for the NBA Basketball Simulation Franchise of Games for Electronic Arts, with often yearly releases, dating all the way back to NBA Live 95 in 1994.

The game revolves around managing and controlling players of many of the NBA teams. Live Run, a 5v5 online multiplayer mode, was returned for the first time since NBA Live 10 to player approval alongside standard game modes including Ultimate Team, where players collect currencies from participating in live events and using that currency to purchase packs of players to improve their team as the season progresses and defeat other players ultimate teams.

I was able to contribute bug fixes for several areas of the game and servers. Additionally, I was to implement tooling for reporting around statistical analysis of a lot of core analytic data points. FIFA 16 is the 2015 console title for the FIFA Futbol Simulation Franchise of Games for Electronic Arts. The game revolves around managing and controlling players of participating FIFA teams. Featuring innovations across the entire pitch to deliver a balanced, authentic, and exciting football experience that lets you play your way, and compete at a higher level.
